We started the day off with a mini tournament for our under 7/8 teams - hosting teams from Inter Cheadle, Bollington United and Curzon Ashton. With bacon butties and brews in full flow we braved the rain and wind and gave every team 60 minutes of game time including a final and medals for all!
Straight into our presentations and 11 teams held their team award presentations in the pavilion throughout a day of fun and games. From splat the rat to a parent v coaches game (don’t ask the coaches about the result!) there was something for everyone….with a burger and beer to wash it down!
As well as being a fun day for all the players, family and community - it was our biggest fundraiser of the year - with a total of £3k raised. All this goes to keeping costs low, while providing the best possible offering to our players. We couldn’t do it without our sponsors, donations for raffle prizes and most of all our volunteers. It’s always fantastic to see coaches and parents (and players!) come together to put on a great event! We can’t wait for next years to put on an even bigger and better event 🙌 if you would like to get involved with our fundraising - please let your coach know!
