What People Say
Don't just take our word for it — here's what players, parents and volunteers have to say.
Highly recommend this football club. My son tried 3 different ones before settling on this one. The coaches are fab, kids are great, so much effort put in to everything.
Joining Macclesfield Juniors has been amazing for our son. The coaches are so encouraging, and he’s grown so much in confidence and skill while having fun every week. The sense of community is fantastic — he’s made great friends and always looks forward to training and match days!
Coaching at Macclesfield Juniors is incredibly rewarding. Seeing young players develop their skills, confidence, and teamwork is what it’s all about. The club supports us every step of the way, and the best part is watching players enjoy the game and grow both on and off the pitch.

Not at all. Many of our best volunteers started with no experience whatsoever. We provide full support and training — all we ask for is enthusiasm and a love of football.
Yes — anyone working with children at the club requires a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. We'll guide you through the process and cover any costs involved.
It depends on the role. A matchday helper might only be needed for a couple of hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning. A team manager will typically commit to one training session and one match per week during the season.
We support volunteers in obtaining FA Introduction to Coaching Football, FA Level 1 and FA Safeguarding Children qualifications. All coaches and managers are required to hold a minimum of the Introduction qualification.
No — we welcome volunteers from the wider community. Whether you're a parent, a former player, or simply someone who wants to give something back, you're welcome here.
